Disney World vacation cost calculator
Defaults represent a mid-range 2026 family trip—not a live quote. Change every line to match your dates and travel style.
The calculator uses a mid-range 2026 base-ticket curve by ticket length, then adjusts it for lower-demand or peak dates. Disney ticket prices are date-based; exact prices require your start date. Children under 3 do not need a ticket and are not included in the child count.
COMPARE BEFORE YOU BOOK
Where to price tickets and packages
Check the same dates, ticket length and refund terms in every row. The cheapest headline price is not always the cheapest final trip.
| Option | Best for | What to compare | Next step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Disney direct | Official packages, current offers and all add-ons | Room discounts, package rules, cancellation terms | View Disney offers |
| Undercover Tourist | Date-based tickets with final-price comparison | Tax-included total, refunds, ticket expiry | Compare tickets |
| Get Away Today | Multi-day tickets and occasional package promotions | Ticket window, change/refund terms, total savings | Check ticket options |
| Authorized vacation planner | Families who want a human to watch for discounts | Service fee, quote inclusions, support hours | Request a free quote |
Prices and availability can change. Open each provider to verify the exact dated total before purchase.
SEARCH GUIDE: DISNEY WORLD TICKET TYPES
Base ticket vs. Park Hopper: what costs less?
The right ticket is the one your itinerary can actually use. Add-ons are expensive when the group does not hop.
Start with one park per day
A standard date-based ticket admits one person to one theme park each ticket day. For many first-time families, this is the easiest plan: one park, one arrival, no midday transfer and no extra hopping charge.
Pay for Park Hopper only when the plan needs it
Park Hopper can make sense for adults, repeat visitors, short trips or groups staying near EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. It is less useful when young children need midday rest, the group arrives late, or every day already has a full park plan.
Highest cost per day
Short tickets carry the steepest daily price. Prioritize the parks your group values most.
Common family range
Enough time for all four parks with a rest day or a repeat visit.
Lower cost per day
The total rises, but each added day is usually cheaper than the first days.
Ticket comparison checklist
| Ticket | Works best when | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Park Per Day | First trip, children, relaxed schedule | Cannot use a second ticket day to enter a second park on the same day |
| Park Hopper | Flexible adults, short trip, dining in another park | Transport time can erase the value |
| Water Park & Sports | A water-park day is already in the itinerary | Operating schedules and ticket-use window |
| Park Hopper Plus | You will use both hopping and extras | Paying twice for flexibility you may not use |
SEARCH GUIDE: DISNEY RESORT TIERS
Value, moderate, deluxe—or off-site?
Hotel choice is not just room price. Add transport, parking, space and the cost of time.
Price the full stay, not the nightly rate
A value resort can reduce the room bill while keeping Disney transportation and resort-guest benefits. Moderate resorts usually add larger grounds, dining and atmosphere. Deluxe resorts charge most for location, larger rooms, dining and select extra-hour benefits.
Off-site hotels and vacation rentals can win for larger families, kitchens and multiple bedrooms—but add resort fees, parking, rental-car costs and travel time before deciding.
| Stay type | Planning benchmark / night | Strongest value | Costs people miss |
|---|---|---|---|
| Disney Value | About $150–$450 | On-site transport and themed stay at lowest Disney tier | Preferred rooms, food court spending |
| Disney Moderate | About $300–$600 | More resort amenities without deluxe pricing | Large-resort walking and internal bus time |
| Disney Deluxe / Villa | Often $500+ | Location, space, dining and premium transport | High room tax and premium dining |
| Off-site hotel / rental | Enter your actual quote | Space, kitchen, free breakfast or lower base rate | Resort fee, parking, rental car, rideshare and commute |
Disney rooms have occupancy limits. If your party needs two rooms, compare the combined room price with a family suite, villa or off-site rental—not just one advertised room rate.
SEARCH GUIDE: 2026 DISNEY DINING PLAN COST
Dining plan or pay as you go?
Convenience is real, but value depends on what your family would order—not what the plan permits.
2026 published planning prices
The Quick-Service Dining Plan is reported at $60.47 per adult and $26.16 per child ages 3–9, per package night. The Disney Dining Plan is reported at $98.59 per adult and $31.94 per child, per package night.
A qualifying 2026 package promotion can make the matching children’s plan free when guests ages 10+ purchase a dining plan. Eligibility and package rules matter, so the calculator does not assume the promotion unless you select it.
| Approach | Calculator rate | Best for | Budget warning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bring breakfast + quick service | $50 adult / $30 child daily | Budget-focused families | Character meals and frequent snacks raise this quickly |
| Flexible cash budget | $75 adult / $45 child daily | Mix of quick and table service | Tips and alcohol can sit outside the target |
| Quick-Service Dining Plan | $60.47 adult / $26.16 child per night | Prepayment and mostly counter service | Unused credits reduce value |
| Disney Dining Plan | $98.59 adult / $31.94 child per night | Regular table-service meals | Gratuities generally remain extra |
Pick the restaurants you actually want, total the entrées, drinks, tax and tips, then compare that sum with the plan. A dining plan is not automatically a discount.
SEARCH GUIDE: CHEAPEST TIME FOR DISNEY WORLD
When lower prices and lighter crowds overlap
No month is uniformly cheap. Weekends, school breaks, festivals and special events can change both price and crowd level.
Use date flexibility as a savings tool
Lower-demand windows often appear after major holidays, late summer and parts of September. Peak pricing tends to cluster around spring break, Thanksgiving week and late December. Heat and storms are part of the tradeoff for late-summer pricing.
Compare a full package across two or three date windows. A cheaper room can be offset by airfare; a slightly higher room can win when flights drop.
